This is the second year I have posted a "best books" list without logging every single book that I read throughout the year. That is interesting in part because I have to think back and figure out what books stayed with me the most, as opposed to only going by my initial reactions.

These are the books that I finished in 2013.  I don't force myself to finish bad books. Life is too short and there are too many books out there that I want to read. :)  The ones rated one star were usually bad but either not bad enough to totally give up on or bad enough that they were unintentionally funny.

2013 was an excellent year in books for those interested in US history and potus_geeks in general. With the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy occurring in November, there was a flurry of books both about JFK and about his assassination. But this year also brought about some excellent recaps of the 2012 election, as well as new ( Read more... )

I don't have a lot of time for reading these days so audiobooks fill the intellectual gap. Here are some of them ... the ones I could remember, anyhow!

2012 was overall a good reading year. I managed to reach the 50 mark for the first time in three years, and that's because I graduated and also included a lot of plays ;).
